Information session ‘Our rights as doctoral researchers’: 18th December

Women in Academia* invites you to the information session ‘Our rights as doctoral researchers’ on the 18th of December from 12h-13h30 in D.2.01 Promotiezaal (you can bring your lunch).

This session is open to all PhD students (f/m/x).

In this session, Jo Coulier (Socialist Labour Union), Tania Stadsbader (Christian Union), Tim Van de Voorde (Liberal Union) and Nellie Konijnendijk (HR Department working on gender and diversity) will help answer all your questions concerning your rights and duties as doctoral researchers, like:

Why do we work with one year contracts?

What happens if I get pregnant?

What rights do I have if my doctoral commission gives me a negative advice?

We encourage you to send us any questions you may have so we can all take advantage of this unique opportunity. Please communicate your questions in advance via the link below so our syndical representatives and Nellie can prepare well. We will also have an open Q&A session during the event, in case additional questions arise. This session is also the chance to make HR and labour unions at the VUB aware of (structural) problems doctoral researchers face.

Attendance is free, but registration is required before 13/12register here

We hope to see you then!
