The proclamation code on your transcript of records

After the exam period you can download your transcript of records. The proclamation code on your transcript of records is the only official result.

The information on this page summarizes the teaching and examination regulations 2018-2019 of the Vrije Universiteit Brussel.

How to download your transcript of records?

You can download your transcript of records in the student SelfService after deliberation by your faculty. Not sure how to do this? Have a look at the manual.

Erasmus students will receive an e-mail from the Education and Student Administration with a PDF with their results. These results will be scaled to the grading system that is used by their home university in a later stage. If you would like to receive a hard copy of this pdf, you can send an e-mail to exchange.incoming@vub.be (don't forget to mention your postal address).

Guest students will receive their exam results via their home university/college.

Each code has a specific meaning

Not sure what your code means? Have a look at the list of possible codes and their meaning.

If you failed some courses, VUB will help you improve your study efficiency.

    Binding conditions (1)

You will be subjected to binding conditions in the next academic year because you failed to obtain at least 60% of the credits taken up and failed courses for which you've been enrolled twice. Next year you must obtain 75% of the credits when you re-enrol for the same programme under a diploma contract.

    Failed combined enrolment

Because you failed your preliminary programme, you can not yet graduate in your 'higher' programme.

    Passed

You have succesfully finished your year programme. Based on the average final result of a student who passed successfully, an academic level of distinction will be awarded.

    Re-enrolment not allowed (1)

Your re-enrolment in the same programme at the VUB is refused because you didn’t obtain a single credit. You are not able to finish your programme.

    Re-enrolment not allowed (3)
