    News about Study guidance

Study progress talks are aimed at students who obtained less than 60% of their credits in the first semester and are studying in an (abbreviated) Bachelor, transitional or preparatory program. These students receive an email invitation to make an appointment.

    • We all kept hoping, family and friends, VUB students and staff, for a positive outcome. But alas: on Sunday we got word that the body of Frederik Vanclooster, master student in computer science, was found.

“Our thoughts go out to Frederik’s family and friends, and everyone that knew him”, says rector Caroline Pauwels. “This loss touches us all. It’s in moments like these that our university community comes together to support each other.”

    • Dear student
We would like to invite you to participate in a well-being survey. This survey aims to assess your well-being as a student at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB). The results from this survey will be used for research purposes (scientific publications) and for drawing up policies.

    • Dear students,

At the end of the year we are here to help you with your study career
With lots of support and a good vibration, so you won’t lack the right motivation
Enjoy the holidays but don’t forget your study days
Stick to the plan without becoming a lonely caveman
Structure is the go-to power, it even helps you gain an hour
If things aren’t really going your way, sit back and think of Santa’s sleigh
Any more questions? The profs will give you lots of suggestions

    • You prefer studying with a group of friends? Then come over to the group study sessions on campus.

From 14 December 2019 up to 31 January 2020 included, several extra study spaces will be made available in Etterbeek and Jette. We are hapy to welcome you at these locations.

    • The VUB aims for every student to feel good and we are always looking for ways to empower students to handle all the challenges of their study path and life in general.

Therefore, we would like to invite every student to participate in a well-being survey. Everyone will receive this survey via e-mail from Monday 25 November and it is possible to participate until Friday 13 December.

    • Were the results of your practice tests dissapointing? Do you have doubts about your study programme? Not (yet) feeling happy about studying at the university? Don't bottle up your feelings! Drop by at Study Guidance and talk about it.
