    News about Student representation

    • Every spring all VUB students can cast their vote for next year's Student Council. Would you like to have a say in the exam schedules? Do you have a creative idea on what our campus should look like? Or would you like to share your opinion on the cost of studying for university students? You might be the ideal candidate!

As a democratically elected student representative you get a chance to participate in the governance of our university. You will have an influence on VUB policy and you can defend the interests of your fellow students.

    • SOFIE: "THE SOFT SKILLS I LEARN FROM THE STUDENT COUNCIL ARE VERY HELPFUL FOR LATER"

Wouter Kuijk is known in the Student Council for his entrances to the office and meetings. Maybe you have already seen him on campus on his wheel and you wondered who actually moves on the campus with such a 'thing'.

"If my learning path continues to be positive, I would like to be a candidate again next year", says Otto. So there is no shortage of enthusiasm, but why does this motivation come from?

Hi Otto, why did you decide four years ago to become a candidate for the Student Council?

    • SASHA: "REPRESENTING THE VOICE OF STUDENTS IS IMPOSSIBLE WITHOUT THE INPUT OF STUDENTS."

Meet the passionate vice president of Student Council Sasha Solau. She can almost always be found on the campus. In addition to her studies in Bio-Engineering sciences, Sasha was also baptized at the sciences student association (WK) and she’s a board member at Biotecho.

Hi Sasha, you tell me you were elected for your faculty, what exactly does this mean?

    • The student council has created a student survey to determine how the budget of student facilities must be allocated. Do you want to help us decide? Fill in the student survey!
