    • As always VUB students can go on a fraternity ski trip from 31 January – 9 February 2020. This is the lecture-free week between the exams and the start of the second semester.

      Whether you are an expert in search of the steepest slopes or a novice learning this elegant sport, a VUB ski trip is well worth it. You forge friendships, might even meet a new love interest and party like there is no tomorrow with the student fraternities!

    • Before summer we could already report that the cyclo-cross peloton will return to our campus this winter. The second Brussels Universities Cyclocross, the penultimate round of the DVV Insurance Trophy, will take place on Sunday 5 January 2020. What to expect? And... how to win tickets for the Koppenbergcross? 

      Last season, 4,800 visitors joined us as Ceylin del Carmen Alvarado and world champion Mathieu Vander Poel won the very first Brussels Universities Cyclocross. A further 702,000 spectators followed the spectacle live on television.

    • There are plenty of ways to work on your fitness at the VUB. A heavy work-out or just some sorty fun? You will definitely find something that tickles you in our offer.

    • Our students defended the VUB colours with pride at the Student Championships. Thanks for the effort and the commitment!

      The male VUB Foxes Rugby team won the Flemish Student Championship after a hard earned victory in the final in Leuven. Two VUB'ers also won medals at the Belgian Student Championships in Mons. Axl Bardiau was crowned Belgian champion in the -100kg category and Arne Poulaert managed to secure a bronze medal in the -60kg category. Top athlete and VUB student Stef van Campenhout is also the new Belgian Student Champion in fencing.

    • Florent Van Aubel wins Golden Stick

      Florent Van Aubel, a Master student in Communication Sciences at VUB, won the Golden Stick. This is the prize for the best field hockey player in Belgium. He thanked VUB in a tweet after the event. We are obviously very proud of our student and wish him all the best at the world hockey championships in India at the end of this month.

    • Do you have a sports activity or project idea and lack the financial means?

      We are happy to inform you that the VUB sports department can help you subsidise your event or project. For this, you should meet a number of requirements. Each project will be examined separately to determine the amount that can be offered.

    • A UAB sport card costs €7,5 and is valid for five years. This personalised swipe card provides access to the sports facilities and takes only a few minutes to create at the sports service. You can also buy a sport card online. It will be sent two weeks later by post.
