    • What happens when a wave of Covid-19 infections occurs?

If there is a new wave of infections, we will not oblige students to leave their accommodation. There is a chance that the government will require them to choose a fixed place of residence. VUB-rooms have 1 year rental contracts. It is not possible to terminate this contract before the end date.

01/05/2020 is the deadline to turn in your special housing request for a VUB-room, via special housing procedure.

    • From 13 November 2019 onwards you can find both departments in the new building X1 on the campus in Etterbeek.

Check the campus map to find the location X1 >>>

Until 6 November 2019 you can still drop by at building P. From 7 November until 12 November 2019 both departments are closed. From 13 November 2019 onwards we are welcoming you in building X1.

    • In the Belgian legislation, the extension procedure for students who have their residency based on studies, has been changed substantially compared to previous years.

As of now you are obliged to initiate the extension procedure of your Belgian ID card at the latest 15 days before the expiration date. This is the most significant change!
