    • There are a number of basic principles concerning changing and using passwords safely.

    • Tuesday 1 May 2018 is the deadline to apply for a VUB room for the next academic year. Have you applied yet?


      If not, go to your Student SelfService as soon as possible.

    • The platform provides a positive environment for every member of the VUB community to make constructive suggestions for improving VUB policies, services, facilities, and communication. In this way, it wants to provide a complement to existing information points and hotlines, and offer a tool to working groups that want to adopt a participatory approach. VUB introduced the platform, which is still a pilot project, to try to engage students in the first place.


    • Do you want to rent a student room at VUB (again) next academic year? Students can apply for a room at VUB until 1 May. Please read the information below, because the application process is a little different from last year.


    • From 1 January 2018, the Low Emission Zone (LEZ) will take effect in Brussels. The LEZ means that the most polluting vehicles do not have access to a large part of the Brussels Capital Region. This measure is designed to improve air quality and thus public health.

    • The VUB has a long tradition of helping students in their quest for some extra income during their academic career. The new Job Board enables you to apply for a job completely online.

      The Job Board of the Social, legal & financial support / student jobs team offers job vacancies both within the VUB as with private companies and organisations.

    • To help new international students settle in at the VUB and in Brussels, ESN VUB EhB Brussels in conjunction with VUB has set up a buddy system. The buddies are people who will welcome you, provide you with help and answer any questions you may have.


      Your buddies will not only help you settle in at the VUB, but can also become your first Belgian friends. With them by your side you'll feel at home in no time. 

    • Are you interested in learning a new language? Or are you searching for others to practice a language with? Make sure to visit the language tables in the VUB restaurant from the 2nd of October.
