- You register your courses in the Student SelfService by logging in with your VUB email address.
- The administrative system sometimes needs a night to process your enrolment and to prepare your VUB email address. Sometimes even longer.
- Always follow the 10-step roadmap for course registration.
- Keep an eye on the deadlines.
- In case of problems with course registration contact your faculty, not the the Education and Student Administration.
- Often there is a very logical reason why a specific course cannot be chosen. Before you attack the helpdesk, please check the most common error messages.
- Make sure that you are well informed about the relationship between the number of credits you take up and the Flemish learning acccount and your possible right to child benefit and/or scholarship.

- "Study activity is full. If a waiting list is available, select Add another study activity to return to step 1. Select the study activity link, select the Waiting list option and resubmit your request."
- "This study activity is not planned"
- "This study activity can not be added - the requirements are not met."
- "These study activities can not be added. By adding these study activities the maximum allowed credits or courses would be exceeded for this period."
- I get the error that I also need to register a study part called 'SELF'
- 'only available from dd/mm/yyyy'
- "You can not register for this study activity. The registration period has expired."
- The option 'search by my requirements' is currently unavailable
