    Lecture (general presentation and panel)

Capitant Brussels and Young Art Addicts are delighted to invite you to our Art x Finance event at The National Bank of Belgium (Warmoesberg 61, 1000 Brussels) on Monday, October 28 from 18:30.

First there will be a general presentation - ‘The National Bank’s Contemporary Art Collection, Something of Value’ by Anne Bambynek (Conservator Collection of Contemporary art NBB).

Followed by a panel discussion (lead by Florence Derck), where speakers will have the opportunity to share their point of view on different topics. The purpose is to give students a taste of what is changing on the Belgian contemporary Art market (past, current and future state of Art). Some speakers that are already willing to present are Hubert D’ursel (Head of Art Advisory at Degroof Petercam and former General Director at Sotheby’s Belgium), Yves Randaxhe (Conservator NBB Art Collection), Anne Vierstraete Managing Director of Art Brussels, Stefaan De Clerck chairman in the Proximus board of directors.

    Topics:

    •       Belgium has the most collectors per m2, but do students know why?

    •       How are the art prices structured and who are the market players?

    •       How to invest in art so that it becomes a smart asset?

    •       Many more

Both the presentation and the panel will be hold in English.

networking drink will follow, where speakers and the audience can mix and mingle.
